Job summary

Gallagher Animal Management’s eShepherd team is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales growth across Australia. This hunter role focuses on opening doors, building a strong pipeline and converting interest into revenue for the eShepherd product range.

You will collaborate with sales, customer success, marketing and product teams to target new customers, articulate the value of eShepherd and close deals, while developing long-term farming partnerships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development and sales roles.
• Track record of prospecting and converting opportunities.
• Experience in agriculture, AgTech or livestock.
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation and relationship-building.
• Experience managing proposals, tenders and commercial agreements.
• Strong CRM discipline and sales forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Identify and convert high-value opportunities to grow the business.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from first contact to close.
• Develop trusted relationships with farmers, partners and stakeholders.
• Position the value of eShepherd to customers.
• Tailor the solution to farming operations.
• Prioritize inbound leads and proactive activity by opportunity size.
• Lead or support tenders, proposals and contract negotiations.
• Use CRM and reporting tools to manage activity and forecast.
• Share market insights to support product messaging and regional growth.
