Job summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking a Materials Tester to join the team at Tynong Quarry in Victoria, Australia. The role suits both entry level and experienced candidates aiming to progress their careers in a hands-on laboratory environment.

You will be responsible for testing aggregates to Australian standards in our NATA Laboratory, reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, and ensuring accurate testing, calibration, and documentation while upholding safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques is advantageous.
• Experience in heavy industries or quarry environments preferred.
• Understanding of Australian standards for laboratories desirable; training provided.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; QESTLAB experience helpful.
• Current and valid Driver's Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Sampling and testing of aggregates.
• Day-to-day management of sampling and testing per requirements.
• Handling and management of chemicals per standards.
• Managing reporting, records and calibrations including non-conforming product reporting.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping in the laboratory and surrounds.
• Provide technical support to production departments.
• Ensure laboratory complies with NATA requirements.
