Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a Quarry Materials Technician to join the team at our NATA Accredited Laboratory based at Skygate, Brisbane. You will test aggregates both in the laboratory and in the field, carrying out calibrations and supporting operations.

This full-time role offers a 50-hour week with overtime and a competitive hourly rate with penalties. The ideal candidate will have testing experience (AS1289, AS1141, TMRQ), a health and safety mindset, and a current Queensland

Qualifications

• Experience testing aggregates is preferred.
• Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques preferred, but not essential.
• Excellent health and safety behaviours.
• Strong IT, literacy and numeracy with attention to detail.
• A current Queensland manual driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform aggregate field sampling in the quarry and testing in the on-site laboratory.
• Carry out equipment calibrations and daily checks to maintain laboratory NATA requirements.
• Work alongside internal stakeholders and provide technical support for operations.
• Daily use of computers and laboratory information management systems (LIMS) including Excel, Outlook.
