Job summary

PresCare in Maryborough (Yaralla Place) is seeking Support Service Workers to provide hospitality, catering, cleaning and laundry services within a 96-bed aged care home. You will build relationships with residents, families and staff while contributing to residents' quality of life in a home-like setting.

Responsibilities include meal preparation support, meal distribution, cleaning, documentation and stock replenishment. Mandatory NDIS clearance and Australian working rights are required.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Clearance, or willing to obtain
• Valid Working Rights in Australia
• Hospitality or Customer Service experience in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassion and Empathy
• Understanding of resident rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes

Responsibilities

• Preparation and presentation of dietary services, including meals and drinks
• Assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties
• Distribution of meals to residents & dining room services
• All aspects of cleaning throughout the resident rooms and facility
• Completing required documentation and reporting
• Ensure handwashing supplies are available and replenished
• Contribute to an effective laundry service including item checking & labelling
