Job summary

Palm Lake Care Bargara seeks a Service Manager Support to lead day-to-day hotel services operations, ensuring exceptional hospitality and safety for residents, families and staff. This full-time role supports the Service Manager across a 38-hour week, Monday to Friday, in a welcoming community setting.

The role emphasizes recruitment, rostering, training and regulatory compliance within aged care, with a focus on continuous improvement and resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years supervisory or managerial experience in hospitality/hotel services operations.
• Minimum 1 year in a senior administrative role.
• Experience assisting with staff recruitment, onboarding, rostering, performance management and team development.
• Excellent written & verbal communication with all levels of management, staff, residents and representatives.
• Current National Police Check & Drivers Licence.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage hotel services operations to ensure high-quality, resident-focused service delivery.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, rostering, performance management and team development.
• Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, infection control and OH&S requirements.
• Assist with audits, corrective action plans, QA programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate admissions, resident tours, stock control and daily operations.
• Foster strong communication and teamwork with staff, residents, families, contractors and management.
• Monitor budgets, supplies and resources to support efficient service delivery.
• Promote safe working environment through incident management and PPE usage.
• Coordinate and deliver mandatory ongoing staff training with education and clinical leaders.
• Support Palm Lake Care's philosophy, values and workplace culture.
