Job summary

CareWays Community in Dapto NSW is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to join the Community Care Team. The role focuses on rostering care workers for Support at Home and CHSP, working onsite five days a week.

You will manage rosters, balance client needs with staff skills, monitor hours, arrange replacements and ensure compliance. Strong organisation, communication and knowledge of SCHADS Award are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma-level qualification and 3 years’ experience in a high-volume rostering position.
• Experience scheduling shifts for high volumes of workers and clients with low error rates.
• Sound understanding of the SCHADS Award.
• Excellent data entry and Microsoft applications skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication.
• Problem solving and prioritising tasks under pressure.
• Experience with Visual Care is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all care worker rosters daily and ensure rosters are completed two weeks in advance.
• Develop and manage care service schedules matching client needs with staff skills and locations.
• Monitor hours against contracts, maximum hour limits and award requirements.
• Arrange replacement care workers for sick, annual leave and absences.
• Ensure compliance, cost optimisation and client/care worker satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Process care worker timesheets and maintain the master roster.
• Regularly report scheduling capacity and recruitment recommendations to management.
