Job summary

Talent Quarter is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist registered with AHPRA to support older Australians in a not-for-profit aged care setting in WA. You will partner with residents to develop and deliver person-centred therapeutic programs that promote independence, wellbeing and quality of life.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team to assess needs, develop care plans and implement therapy services, while upholding safety and quality standards in a supportive, purpose-driven

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience working with older people, ideally within aged care or a similar setting
• Strong commitment to person-centred care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic program development skills
• A genuine passion for improving the lives and wellbeing of older people
• National police clearance
• NDIS check

Responsibilities

• Assess and deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy services to residents
• Develop and deliver person-centred therapeutic and activity programs
• Provide leadership and guidance to support staff delivering activity and therapy programmes
• Work collaboratively with the care team to enhance resident wellbeing and outcomes
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement across allied health and residential services
• Ensure compliance with Allied Health, Workplace Health & Safety policies and safe work practices
• Build positive relationships with residents, families and the broader multidisciplinary team
