Job summary

Thompson Health Care in Bowral is seeking an experienced Cook to join Bowral House on a 3-month fixed-term contract with the potential for extension. You will prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for residents, following dietary needs and preferences, and contribute to a warm, welcoming kitchen environment.

Shifts are 07:00am–03:00pm or 10:00am–06:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays at 87-89 Kangaloon Rd Bowral NSW 2576, with onsite training and ongoing support to ensure the highest standard of care

Qualifications

• Police Check (National Police Certificate) (Essential)
• At least 1-2 years experience as a Cook (Desirable)
• Previous aged care experience (Desirable)
• Has a passion for creating healthy, delicious, and visually appealing meals
• Is organised, reliable, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Knowledge of infection control procedures
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work well with staff

Responsibilities

• Prepare, and deliver nutritious, seasonal, and appetising meals tailored to residents’ needs and preferences
• Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
• Ensure kitchen and food preparation areas are kept clean, organised, and well-maintained at all times
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and catering team
