Job summary

Bupa Banora Point in Tweed Heads South, NSW, is seeking a motivated Cook to prepare well-balanced, nutritious meals for our residents in a home-like setting.

You will liaise with residents, families and the care team to meet dietary, cultural and individual needs, support kitchen operations, and uphold infection control and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the preparation and delivery of meals within a similar environment.
• Commercial Cookery certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to solve problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare well balanced and nutritious meals for our residents.
• Liaise with residents, families, and the care team to ensure residents’ dietary, individual and cultural needs are met.
• Support the efficient functioning of kitchen and catering services.
• Comply with all infection control and food safety procedures.
• Perform administrative duties related to the kitchen operation such as stock taking, and food quality assessment.
