Thompson Health Care is seeking an experienced Cook to join our aged care team at Boronia House, North St Marys, NSW. This part-time role covers 11:00am–6:00pm Wednesday to Friday, delivering nutritious, seasonal meals tailored to residents’ needs in a supportive, team-based kitchen environment.

You’ll maintain strict food safety standards and infection control, work closely with the catering team, and bring passion for healthy, visually appealing meals.

Qualifications

• Police Check (National Police Certificate) is essential.
• At least 2 years experience as a Cook is desirable.
• Previous aged care experience is desirable.

About the Role

Shift Times: 11:00am to 6:00pm (Wednesday to Friday)

You will be based at our Boronia House, located at 183 Boronia Rd, North St Marys NSW 2760.

Boronia House is seeking an experienced and dedicated Cook to join our welcoming aged care team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about preparing nutritious, high-quality meals and understands the importance of food in enhancing quality of life for older people.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare nutritious, seasonal, and appetising meals tailored to residents' needs and preferences

Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards

Ensure kitchen and food preparation areas are kept clean, organised, and well-maintained at all times

Work collaboratively with the kitchen and catering team

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Police Check (National Police Certificate) (Essential)

At least 2 years experience as a Cook (Desirable)

Previous aged care experience (Desirable)

Has a passion for creating healthy, delicious, and visually appealing meals

Is organised, reliable, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene

Knowledge of infection control procedures

Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work well with staff
