Job summary

Arcare in Queensland is seeking compassionate cleaners to join our aged care facilities, delivering a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for residents. You will work as part of a team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection control across rooms and common areas.

Responsibilities include disinfecting rooms, managing waste, stocking supplies, and operating cleaning equipment with proper PPE.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and Disinfecting: Regularly clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other areas throughout the facility.
• Waste Management: Dispose of waste, including both regular trash and medical waste, in accordance with proper guidelines and safety protocols.
• Infection Control: Follow strict infection control procedures, such as using appropriate cleaning agents and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of infections.
• Stocking Supplies: Ensure that cleaning and hygiene supplies (such as soaps, sanitizers, and cleaning agents) are adequately stocked and available for residents and staff.
• Equipment: Using floor scrubbers, vacuums, cleaning trolleys and consumables.
