Job summary

Catering Industries Pty Ltd is hiring a Chef for an aged care facility in Mossman, QLD. The role involves producing nutritious meals, supporting menu design, and maintaining HACCP compliance in a high-volume kitchen.

You will work Monday to Friday from 6.30am to 3.00pm, with full training provided and the requirement to obtain a Police check. Aged care cooking experience is highly valued, and a Cert III in commercial cookery is desirable.

Qualifications

• 3+ years'experience in a similar role; aged care experience highly regarded.
• Cert III in commercial cookery desirable.
• Experience in large volume cooking and working autonomously or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality meals in line with aged care food service and HACCP guidelines.
• Assist with menu design, changes and implementation.
• Assist with deliveries, stock handling and general kitchen cleanup duties.
• Prepare meals for special diets (puree, gluten-free, texture modified).
• Maintain excellent organization and multi-task in a busy kitchen.
