Catering Industries Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified Cook for an aged care facility in Gordonvale, QLD. The role reports to the Chef Manager and involves preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for residents in a friendly, team-oriented environment.

Shifts include Monday, Tuesday 6:00am–2:00pm; Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9:00am–5:00pm. Benefits include weekend/holiday penalty loadings and support for ongoing training. A current police check is required.

Qualifications

• Hold a current Federal Police Check Certificate or be willing to obtain one prior to commencement.
• Previous experience in a commercial cooking role, with aged care experience highly regarded.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (desirable).
• Experience preparing large-volume meals in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Cater to dietary needs of residents, ensuring meals meet high standards.
• Prepare nutritious meals in line with aged care food service standards and HACCP guidelines.
• Assist with menu planning, development and implementation.
• Prepare baked goods, desserts, soups and other menu items.
• Manage special dietary requirements (puree, texture-modified, gluten-free, etc.).
• Receive and store deliveries, maintain stock rotation and storage practices.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organised kitchen environment.
• Demonstrate strong time management and teamwork skills.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen and contribute positively to the team.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, WHS and infection control requirements.
