Job summary

Roshana Care Group is hiring an Aged Care Chef in Queensland for a permanent part‑time role. You will prepare meals that meet residents' dietary needs, deliver meals with care, and help maintain a warm dining experience that supports wellbeing.

Ideal candidates will have a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, experience in aged care or healthcare, knowledge of nutrition and food safety, and be willing to obtain essential clearances and certifications.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook or chef, ideally within aged care, healthcare, or hospitality.
• Knowledge of nutrition, special diets, and food safety standards.
• Willingness to obtain Police Clearance/NDIS screening and Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals tailored to residents' dietary needs.
• Deliver meals with care and presentation to enhance dining experience.
• Cater for special diets, allergies, and texture‑modified meals.
• Engage with residents to support enjoyment of meals and wellbeing.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Assist with menu planning for variety and resident satisfaction.
• Manage kitchen operations including stock control and storage.
• Collaborate with the care team to support residents’ wellbeing.
