Job summary

Royal Freemasons’ Benevolent Institution (RFBI) is seeking a Carer for our Dubbo Village to provide a wide range of personal care services for residents. You will support daily living, mobility and comfort within a resident-centred care approach.

The role requires Certificate III in Aged Care, strong communication skills and prior aged care experience. Current First Aid and police clearance are preferred, and applicants must be eligible to work in Australia.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Previous experience in an aged care environment
• An enthusiastic and motivated approach
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Valid police check clearance
• Must be eligible to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Shower, dress, groom, assist with meals and make the beds
• Providing basic clinical care including; wound dress, assist with medication delivery and record basic clinical observations.
• Provide care management for diabetes, arthritis and other conditions.
• Entering reports and observations into our computer program-iCare.
• Assisting and following directions of the Care Manager to achieve the best possible person-centred care
