Job summary

Kirinari Community Services in NSW is seeking experienced Aged & Home Care Workers to help older Australians maintain independence at home and stay connected with their communities.

You will provide domestic assistance, personal care, meal preparation, transportation to appointments, shopping, and social support, while building trusting relationships with clients. Training and supportive leadership are available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in aged care, home care or community care.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Caring, person-centred approach.
• Excellent time management and reliability.
• Genuine passion for supporting older Australians.

Responsibilities

• Assist with domestic tasks in clients' homes.
• Provide personal care to maintain independence and safety.
• Prepare meals and assist with nutrition.
• Transport clients to appointments and run errands.
• Support social participation and community involvement.
• Offer companionship and meaningful engagement.
• Work directly in clients' homes and communities.

About the Role

You will support older Australians to maintain their independence and quality of life by assisting with:

• Domestic assistance (this is often the largest part of your day)
• Personal care
• Meal preparation
• Transport to appointments
• Shopping and errands
• Community participation
• Social support and companionship

You will work directly in clients' homes and communities, supporting them to achieve the goals that matter most to them.

We’d Love to Hear from You If You Have:

• At least 2 years' experience in aged care, home care or community care
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A caring and person-centred approach
• Excellent time management and reliability
• A genuine passion for supporting older Australians

Essential Requirements

• Current Driver Licence
• Reliable and insured vehicle
• Current First Aid & CPR
• National Police Check
• NDIS Worker's Check
• Australian working rights
