Job summary

Kirinari Community Services in Canberra is seeking an Aged and Home Care Worker on a Permanent Part Time basis to support clients at home with a range of care tasks.

You will deliver domestic assistance, shopping support, respite care, meals and social engagement, helping clients maintain independence in their own homes. The role offers flexible shifts and opportunities for skill development within the organisation.

Our Canberrateam have Permanent Part Timeopportunity available for an Aged and Home Care Worker.

About the Position

Our Kirinari Healthy Ageing services deliver quality in-home care supporting our customers to maintain well-being and independence in their own surroundings for as long as possible.

A typical day assisting our customers to live their best lives may include:

• Domestic assistance
• Assisted shopping/client appointments
• Respite care
• Meal preparation
• Social support and community engagement

Shifts will vary in duration with paid travel time between customers in a localised area, where possible. (km’s travelled between customers also claimable)

About You:

• Available for shifts across Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm
• Studying or completed a minimum Certificate III in a health-related industry (Individual Support, Aged Care, Nursing etc.)
• Qualification in First Aid and CPR or willing to obtain
• Willingness to get physical and help with domestic work – Mopping, vacuuming, washing, general cleaning
• Genuine desire and ability to connect and develop a meaningful relationship
• Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
• Current Driver's License
• Full Comprehensive Car Insurance, or willing to obtain
