Job summary

Kirinari Community Services in Port Macquarie is seeking a qualified Aged and Home Care Worker for casual shifts. The role provides in-home support to help clients maintain wellbeing and independence at home.

Responsibilities include personal care, domestic assistance, shopping for clients, meal preparation and social engagement. You will work within a supportive team that values wellbeing and community impact, with paid travel between clients in a local area where possible.

Qualifications

• Available for shifts across Monday to Friday 9am–5pm.
• Must have a Certificate III in health-related industry (Individual Support, Aged Care, Nursing).
• First Aid and CPR qualifications or willing to obtain.
• Willingness to do domestic tasks (cleaning, mopping, vacuuming).
• NDIS Workers Screening Check required prior to commencement.
• Current Driver's Licence and car insurance (or willing to obtain).

Our Port Macquarieteam have casual opportunity available for a qualified Aged and Home Care Worker.

About the Position

Our Kirinari Healthy Ageing services deliver quality in-home care supporting our customers to maintain well-being and independence in their own surroundings for as long as possible.

A typical day assisting our customers to live their best lives may include:

• Assistance with personal care
• Domestic assistance
• Assisted shopping/client appointments
• Meal preparation
• Social support and community engagement

Shifts will vary in duration with paid travel time between customers in a localised area, where possible. (km’s travelled between customers also claimable)

About You:

• Available for shifts across Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm
• Studying or completed a minimum Certificate III in a health-related industry (Individual Support, Aged Care , Nursing etc.)
• Qualification in First Aid and CPR or willing to obtain
• Willingness to get physical and help with domestic work – Mopping, vacuuming, washing, general cleaning
• Genuine desire and ability to connect and develop a meaningful relationship
• Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
• Current Driver's License
• Full Comprehensive Car Insurance, or willing to obtain
