Job summary

Kirinari Healthy Ageing services deliver in-home care to support customers' well-being and independence, in their own homes in Wagga Wagga. Aged and Home Care Worker roles offer compassionate support, with short shifts and local travel between clients.

Applicants should hold a Certificate III in a health-related field, be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR, and have a current driver’s license and car insurance. Weekend and public holiday shifts may be required.

About the Position

Our Kirinari Healthy Ageing services deliver quality in-home care supporting our customers to maintain well-being and independence in their own surroundings for as long as possible.

A typical day assisting our customers to live their best lives may include:

• Domestic assistance
• Assisted shopping/client appointments
• Respite care
• Meal preparation
• Social support and community engagement
• Assistance with personal care

Shifts will be shorter in duration with paid travel time between customers in a localised area, where possible. (km’s travelled between customers also claimable)

About You:

• Available for shifts across Monday to Friday between 7am and 7pm (Some weekend and public holidays as required)
• Completed a minimum Certificate III in a health-related industry (Individual Support, Aged Care Community Services, Nursing etc.)
• Qualification in First Aid and CPR is highly regarded or willing to obtain
• Willingness to get physical and help with domestic work – Mopping, vacuuming, washing, general cleaning
• Genuine desire and ability to connect and develop a meaningful relationship
• Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
• Current Driver's License
• Full Comprehensive Car Insurance, or willing to obtain
