Job summary

NSW Health’s Far West Local Health District seeks a qualified clinician to join the Suicide Prevention Outreach Team (SPOT) in Broken Hill. This permanent full-time role focuses on after-hours care, crisis response and recovery-focused support for people in distress.

You will work with peer workers to provide safety planning, follow-up and psychosocial support, primarily via face-to-face and telehealth, delivering patient-centered care in remote communities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications and current registration with AHPRA or eligibility for ASW membership.
• 2+ years as a sole clinician in mental health settings.

Responsibilities

• The SPOT team provides after-hours care and follow-up for people in suicidal distress.
• Deliver recovery-oriented psychosocial support, safety planning and advocacy.
• Collaborate with peer workers to identify community supports and follow up.
