Job summary

Far West NSW Local Health District in Broken Hill is recruiting for the Zero Suicides in Care SPOT team. This permanent full-time role (38 hours weekly) delivers after-hours crisis care and follow-up for people in distress, working with peer workers to provide recovery-oriented support across Broken Hill and nearby communities.

Salary range is $79,419 to $122,465 plus super, with NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme incentives up to $10,000; opportunities for professional

Qualifications

• Permanent Full Time position in Broken Hill NSW with 38 hours per week.
• 2–3 years' experience as a sole clinician preferred; flexible arrangements considered.
• Provide after-hours crisis support via SPOT, in coordination with peer workers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver after-hours crisis assessments and follow-up in Broken Hill and surrounding communities.
• Provide recovery-oriented psychosocial support, safety planning and advocacy.
• Collaborate with peer workers and clinicians to coordinate community supports.
• Utilize face-to-face and telehealth to reach clients.
