Job summary

NSW Health, SESLHD Mental Health Service, seeks a Peer Worker for the Assertive Suicide Prevention Outreach Team (SPOT) in Caringbah. You will use lived experience to support consumers in crisis within the community and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role is permanent part-time, 24 hours per week, with remuneration per hour and additional benefits. Travel to other SESLHD MHS locations is required, and applications close on 25 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Personal lived experience of suicidal crisis and ability to provide peer support.
• Experience as a Mental Health Peer Worker is preferred.
• Understanding of recovery-oriented, trauma-informed care.
