Job summary

St Vincent’s Public Hospital in Sydney seeks an After Hours Clinical Nurse Educator to lead ED education and professional development. The role supports nursing staff through evidence-based education programs, e-learning initiatives and collaboration with clinical leaders.

The position is a max-term full-time contract with a 7-day roster, offering professional growth and access to extensive hospital education resources.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA is required.
• Post-graduate qualification in clinical or education is preferred or four years post-registration with three years in emergency.
• Certificate IV in workplace training and education or willingness to undertake within 12 months.
• Demonstrated knowledge of innovative educational strategies, tools and approaches including e-learning.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the knowledge, clinical skills and competence of ED nursing staff.
• Assess, develop, implement and evaluate education programs with clinical leaders.
• Ensure equitable access to education resources and development opportunities for all ED staff.
• Promote evidence-based practice through education, policies and clinical resources.
• Foster a culture of learning and continuous professional improvement to support safe patient care.
