Job summary

The Western Union Company is seeking an experienced AFSL Compliance Manager in Sydney to govern and oversee AFSL obligations, providing independent advice and ensuring licensing activities are managed across the business.

You will collaborate with Product, Risk, Operations, Legal and Compliance to embed licensing requirements, monitor changes, and guide governance programs while upholding a strong compliance culture. Hybrid work with office presence expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in law, Finance, Commerce, Business, Governance, Risk Management or related discipline.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Compliance, Governance, Risk or Law desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain governance framework for AFSL; monitor license conditions and Responsible Manager requirements.
• Lead licensing activities including applications, variations, regulator notifications, attestations and regulatory reporting.
• Assess regulatory changes and advise on required control, policy and procedure uplift.
• Conduct independent compliance oversight, risk assessments, and remediation oversight for licensing obligations.
• Provide compliance advisory support to strategic initiatives and senior stakeholders.
