Job summary

Western Union in Sydney is seeking a Compliance Training and Operations Manager to lead the operational management, governance, and continuous improvement of our compliance training programs. You will design and run processes, controls, and reporting to support regulatory requirements and organizational learning.

The role partners with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations and HR to align learning activities with business needs, oversees LMS platforms and data, and drives performance improvements

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing operational programs, training operations, organisational learning initiatives, governance.
• Experience developing and implementing operational frameworks, policies, processes, controls, and reporting mechanisms.
• Experience analysing organisational requirements and translating them into effective processes, systems, and operational solutions.
• Experience managing training programs, learning operations, or organisational capability initiatives.
• Experience working within regulated industries is preferred; AML/CTF knowledge advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; professional certification in Learning & Development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational management and governance of the organisation’s compliance training framework, including processes, controls, standards, systems, and performance measures.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve training processes, reporting, controls, and quality assurance practices to support business, regulatory, and organisational objectives.
• Partner with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations, Human Resources, and stakeholders to analyse training requirements and coordinate program implementation.
• Oversee training data, records, reporting, management information, LMS, and performance metrics to support decision making, governance, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement.
• Provide operational advice and support relating to training and compliance frameworks, organisational processes, stakeholder engagement, change initiatives, capability development programs, and process improvement activities.
