Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning impact.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and providing feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate with students, parents, colleagues and the school community.
• Demonstrated commitment to Department values and ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the school program beyond the classroom as experience grows.
• Plan, prepare and teach programs to achieve targeted student outcomes.
• Use student data to inform teaching approaches and inform parents about student progress.
• Mentor and coach other teachers and supervise student teachers where appropriate.
• Contribute to school policies and priorities aligned with the school strategic plan.
