Job summary

South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking an Advanced Level Clinical Coder at Liverpool Hospital on a permanent part-time or temporary PT basis. You will code complex inpatient episodes, provide expert coding guidance, and contribute to audits and education within a collaborative clinical coding team.

The role requires extensive ICD-10-AM experience in a tertiary hospital, knowledge of Australian Coding Standards, and a strong commitment to data quality and productivity targets.

Qualifications

• Current extensive clinical coding experience using ICD-10-AM within a tertiary hospital setting.
• Extensive experience across a broad range of specialties with evidence of meeting KPIs for accuracy & throughput as set within SWSLHD Advanced coder coding competencies.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills with high level attention to detail.
• Proven ability to prioritise tasks and effectively manage time and resources to meet pre-determined targets and deadlines.

• Provide expert coding advice and support quality improvement initiatives.
