Job summary

NSW Health at Liverpool Hospital is seeking an Advanced Level Clinical Coder (Health Manager Lvl 1) for a permanent part-time or temporary part-time position.

The successful candidate will have extensive ICD-10-AM coding experience in a tertiary hospital, experience across multiple specialties, and proven ability to meet KPIs for accuracy and throughput. Strong verbal and written communication, time management, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Current extensive clinical coding experience using ICD-10-AM within a tertiary hospital setting.
• Extensive experience across a broad range of specialties with evidence of meeting KPIs for accuracy & throughput as set within SWSLHD Advanced coder coding competencies.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills with high level attention to detail.
• Proven ability to prioritise tasks and effectively manage time and resources to meet pre-determined targets and deadlines.
• Ability to analyse, abstract, interpret and report information in clinical coding forums.
• Enthusiastic attitude and demonstrated ability to work both independently, within a team and be flexible in a changing work environment.
• Demonstrated skill in the use of computerized PAS and record control systems, 3M Codefinder software, PICQ and a sound knowledge of Microsoft office applications.

Responsibilities
