Job summary

NSW Health in Wauchope is seeking an experienced Administration Officer Level 4 - Clinical Coder to translate patient services into accurate inpatient codes. You will work with ICD-10-AM classifications and use Cerner, iPM, and 3M Codefinder to deliver high-quality coding outcomes.

You will review medical records, liaise with clinicians, and ensure coding integrity within the health information team, contributing to funding and reporting accuracy. Experience with DRGs and ABF is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Qualified Clinical Coder with HIMAA standards.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Experience coding inpatient episodes using ICD-10-AM.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient episodes accurately and timely.
• Interpret clinical documentation to assign ICD-10-AM codes.
• Collaborate with clinicians to ensure coding accuracy.
