Mackay Hospital and Health Service is seeking an Administration Officer to join the Step Up Step Down Unit on a permanent basis, based in Mackay. The role supports staff, patients and visitors and operates across a subacute facility and a Community Mental Health site to facilitate efficient patient flow.

The Mental Health and AOD Service delivers care across eight clinical teams, with opportunities for professional development and a diverse, supportive work environment.

Mackay's Step Up Step Down Unit is seeking applications for an Administration Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

This position will respond to administrative enquiries and provide assistance to staff, patients and visitors to facilitate effective service delivery. This position will operate across a subacute facility and the Community Mental Health site and contribute to efficient patient flow supporting nursing and medical staff and coordinating all patient movements.

About The Team

The Mental Health and AOD Service is comprised on eight clinical teams across the MHHS. The Mental Health Service is responsible for the provision of comprehensive, specialised mental health assessment and treatment services across the age-spectrum for people with severe and complex mental health problems. Our services aim to be consumer focused and recovery orientated and are provided in a variety of setting including community, an acute inpatient unit, hospitals and emergency departments.
