St Joseph's Primary School is seeking an Administrative Support Assistant to create a welcoming front office experience for students, families and staff. The role includes maintaining student records, coordinating communications and supporting events and leadership scheduling.
Prospective candidates should have WWVP clearance, a related certificate (II or III) or relevant admin experience, and accreditation per Archdiocese policy. This is a part-time position in Canberra with flexible start date.
Salary Range: $75,935 full-time equivalent plus superannuation
Employment Status: Part-time | 27.5 hours per fortnight

The Administrative Support Assistant plays a key role in creating a welcoming and nurturing experience for students, parents, and staff. The Front Office Assistant also plays a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of the school's daily activities. The duties of the position include maintaining student records, handling communication between staff, students, and parents, organising school events, and supporting the leadership team with scheduling and coordination. The Front Office Assistant supports the Front Office Manager to ensure compliance with school policies and government regulations, managing office supplies, and providing administrative support for teachers and other staff. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively are essential, as the role is key in creating a well‑organised and efficient school environment.
This position involves working with children. Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child‑related employment.
