The role emphasizes leadership of clinical and administrative teams, adherence to privacy and safety regulations, budgets and supplier relations, and delivering a high standard of patient care in a busy occupational health

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Medical Practice Manager or in a similar healthcare administration role
• Strong knowledge of medical practice operations including patient scheduling, billing and compliance requirements
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands
• Proficiency with practice management software and electronic health records (ZedMed) systems

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day operations of the medical practice, including scheduling, staffing and resource allocation, assist reception and with pre-employment medicals as required
• Managing patient appointments, ensuring efficient booking systems and minimising wait times
• Supervising reception and administrative staff, providing training, guidance and performance management
• Maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy laws and occupational health and safety requirements
• Managing practice finances, including payroll, calculation of doctors' service fees, reconciling accounts, invoicing, accounts payable, budgeting and cost control
• Ensuring electronic health records and practice management systems are properly maintained and updated
• Managing supplier relationships and procurement of practice supplies and equipment
• Handling patient enquiries and complaints professionally and resolving issues promptly
• Maintaining cleanliness, safety and compliance standards across the practice premises
