Job summary

Randstad is seeking an AR/AP Accountant professional to join our finance team in Sydney. This role involves end-to-end invoicing, data extraction from revenue systems, and accurate allocations of payments to various accounts.

You will work under a supportive manager, contributing to month-end tasks and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a similar role, a accounting qualification, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelors in Accounting & Finance or equivalent qualification
• 2+ years in a similar role
• Exposure to CIA/TechnologyOne is desirable

Responsibilities

• Invoicing: Generating and issuing accurate AR invoices in a timely manner
• Data Extraction & Management: Navigating and utilizing revenue systems to extract and analyze billing data
• Receipting & Allocations: Processing incoming payments and allocating funds across accounts
• Reconciliations: Performing daily and month-end bank and debtor account reconciliations
• Journal Entries: Preparing and posting AR journals to the general ledger
• Debtor Management: Monitoring aging reports and following up on outstanding accounts
• Query Resolution: Resolving billing discrepancies with internal and external stakeholders
• Month-End Support: Assisting with month-end reporting and ad-hoc administration
• Other ad-hoc duties as required
