Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in AP or bookkeeping, preferably handling high-volume or high-value transactions.
• Proficient in Xero, with the ability to manage supplier accounts, reconciliations, payments and corrections independently.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify duplicate invoices, incorrect amounts, mismatched references and discrepancies in financial records.
• Intermediate Excel or Google Sheets skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, filtering and reconciling large datasets.
• Sound understanding of payment controls, supplier verification, bank detail validation and approval processes.
• Ability to independently investigate and resolve reconciliation differences, unmatched transactions and outstanding balances.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex account structures and themes.
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and high transaction volumes without compromising accuracy.
• Proactive problem-solver who investigates discrepancies, identifies root causes and proposes solutions with minimal supervision.
• Clear and professional communication skills when dealing with internal teams and external suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Own the AP cycle from invoice receipt to payment submission.
• Manage day-to-day accounts payable operations, ensuring accuracy, timely processing, effective financial controls and compliance with internal procedures.
• Maintain financial integrity, resolve discrepancies and support reporting requirements.
• Verify invoice details against our systems and supporting documents before anything is booked or paid.
