Job summary

[axr] Recruitment & Search is representing a fast-moving technology/infrastructure-focused business seeking an Accounts Payable Officer in Sydney CBD. The role requires high-volume AP experience across multiple entities and currencies, with a focus on accurate PO matching, accruals and month-end tasks.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in a high volume Accounts Payable role.
• Strong understanding of purchase orders, invoice matching and approval workflows.
• Understanding of AP flow to General Ledger, including accruals and month end.
• Experience in multi-entity and multi-currency environments.
• CapEx, construction, infrastructure, engineering or data centre experience is highly regarded.
• Intercompany experience is a plus.
• NetSuite experience is a bonus; training will be provided on a new procurement system.
• Well organised with strong attention to detail and ability to follow up with the business.
• Available to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Managing end to end Accounts Payable across multiple entities and projects, with a high volume of supplier invoices.
• Reviewing purchase orders, approvals and coding, and matching invoices accurately.
• Processing high value CapEx and asset related invoices for construction projects.
• Allocating costs correctly across projects, assets and cost centres.
• Managing supplier prepayments and multi currency invoices and payments.
• Onboarding suppliers and reviewing employee expense claims.
• Owning the AP inbox, handling queries until resolved.
• Supporting month end close, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Keeping AP processes compliant with internal controls and audit requirements.
