Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join a Westmead-based construction organisation. You will be part of a supportive finance team and handle end-to-end AP processes, ensuring accurate supplier invoices and timely payments.

The role requires 3+ years in AP, familiarity with XERO (not essential), and strong attention to detail and communication. On-site role with a collaborative environment and opportunities to streamline AP processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in an end to end Accounts Payable role.
• Proficiency with XERO (not essential).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confident, proactive, and able to hit the ground running.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and process weekly payment runs.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
• Investigate and resolve invoice, payment, and account discrepancies.
• Create and maintain supplier records and banking details.
• Respond to supplier queries via phone and email.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders regarding invoice approvals and payment matters.
• Assist with month-end close activities and reporting.
• Provide ad hoc support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Accounts Payable function.

Working within an accounts payable team, your responsibilities include:
