Job summary

Pirtek, a proudly 100% privately owned Australian company, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join the National Office in Kings Park. You will manage end-to-end payables, data entry, and supplier communications, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

The role emphasises process improvements, overseas creditor management, and ERP system use, with a supportive team environment and on-site facilities including gym, parking, and easy transport access.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar Accounts Payable role is essential.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes in a Finance role.
• Working knowledge of accounting methods and accounting software systems.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills with excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Full-function accounts payable: invoices, data entry, supplier statements and reconciliation.
• Maintain overseas creditor information and communicate with suppliers.
• Analyse AP processes and recommend improvements with stakeholders.

The Role

Are you an experiencedAccounts Payable Officerlooking for a new opportunity?

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Full-functionaccounts payable, including receiving invoices, data entry, reviewing supplier statements, communicating with suppliers and other stakeholders and supplier statement reconciliation
• Maintaining overseas creditor information
• Analysing current Accounts Payable processes and making recommendations to improve processes (in consultation with the relevant stakeholders)

You

To be considered for this position you will possess:

• Previous experience in a similar role (essential)
• Demonstrated experience in identifying opportunities to improve processes in a Finance role
• Have a working knowledge of accounting methods and accounting software systems
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills
• Fluent English skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management, including asense of urgency,the ability to meet deadlines and the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Strong attention to detail
• Flexible and willing to assist other team members
• ERP experience

The purpose of this role initially is to cover extended periods of leave within our accounts payable team. The role has the potential to convert to permanent employment in the future, depending on operational requirements and candidate suitability.
