Job summary

Jellinbah Group in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join our Finance team. This busy, hands-on role has a strong focus on Accounts Payable and responsibility for key Accounts Receivable activities.

You will manage a high volume of transactions, resolve day-to-day accounts issues, and collaborate with site teams and the broader business. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, keeps on top of competing priorities, and maintains a high level of accuracy.

Qualifications

• Solid Accounts Payable experience, ideally in high-volume environments.
• Experience with Accounts Receivable activities.
• Strong reconciliation and data entry skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to organise workload and meet deadlines.
• Experience with shared inboxes and supplier communications.

Responsibilities

• Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Managing the accounts inbox and responding to supplier and internal queries.
• Investigating and resolving invoice, purchase order, receipting and payment discrepancies.
• Reviewing supplier statements and following up outstanding invoices.
• Completing reconciliations and keeping supplier accounts accurate and up to date.
• Working with site and operational teams to resolve outstanding invoices, purchase orders and receipting issues.
• Assisting with payment and month-end processes.
• Keeping on top of deadlines in a high-volume processing environment.
• Reconciling and receipting funds received.
• Preparing intercompany and recharge invoices.
• Reviewing debtor ledgers and balances.
• Investigating and resolving discrepancies and unreconciled items.
• Keeping debtor accounts and records accurate and up to date.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to join our Finance team.

This is a busy, hands-on role with a strong focus on Accounts Payable, along with responsibility for key Accounts Receivable activities. You'll be working with a high volume of transactions, resolving day-to-day accounts issues and dealing with people across our sites and the broader business.

What you'll be doing

About you

We're looking for someone who knows their way around a busy accounts function and is comfortable taking responsibility for getting things done.

You'll ideally have:

• Solid Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
• Experience across Accounts Receivable activities.
• Strong reconciliation and data entry skills.
• Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• The ability to organise your workload, juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• A willingness to investigate issues rather than simply pass them on.
• Confidence dealing with suppliers and working with people across different areas of the business.
• Experience working with shared inboxes and resolving queries.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in a complex or multi-entity business will be highly regarded.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who is reliable, organised and comfortable taking ownership of your work.

We're also transitioning our ERP platform, so being comfortable with technology and adapting to changing processes will be important.
