Job summary

MPAU Finance is seeking a capable finance professional to deliver accurate month-end reporting, payroll administration, budgeting support and statutory compliance across the finance function in our Sydney office. This role maintains financial controls and supports decision-making with robust analysis for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified, or nearing completion.
• Minimum 3 years of financial accounting experience.
• Strong month-end reporting and financial accounting skills.
• Experience managing payroll and statutory obligations.
• Knowledge of Australian taxation, accounting standards and compliance.
• Advanced Excel and strong analytical capability.
• Experience using Xero.
• Effective communicator with non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate month-end financial reports and reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and fixed asset registers.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and investigate variances.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls and audit requirements.
• Process payroll, commissions and related statutory obligations.
• Assist with BAS, tax reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Provide financial support to management and operational stakeholders.
• Contribute to process improvements and finance team continuity.
