Job summary

Brunel is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our Australian finance team in Sydney. You will maintain accurate books and records, manage journals, AP/AR and GL, and prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations in line with AASB.

You will also prepare BAS and payroll tax, support month-end, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, and assist with intercompany accounting and ERP projects. Strong Excel and data handling are essential.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA or equivalent (or working towards).
• Approximately 3-5 years' relevant accounting experience.
• Strong grounding in Australian accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with AP, AR and general ledger accounting.
• Exposure to statutory reporting, external audit and tax compliance.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets and financial systems.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently within a small, collaborative team.
