The successful candidate will prepare statements, manage reconciliations, and assist with audits, while contributing to budgeting and process improvements.

Competenze

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• CA/CPA qualification or working towards completion.
• 2-4+ years' experience in financial accounting, preferably with some exposure to tax compliance.
• Solid understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and tax obligations.
• Strong Excel and ERP systems skills (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

Immediate StartDemonstrated strong technical accounting skills and proven ability for successFirst steps into management / progression We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and assisting with tax compliance. This role will suit someone with strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journals.
• Ensure accuracy of the general ledger, balance sheet, and P&L reporting.
• Assist with preparation of management reports and variance analysis.
• Support external audit requirements and liaise with auditors as needed.

Taxation & Compliance

• Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and FBT returns in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist with corporate income tax returns and tax effect accounting.
• Monitor GST, PAYG, and payroll tax compliance.
• Liaise with external tax advisors and regulators where required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements.

Other Duties

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Develop and maintain robust financial controls and processes.
• Support ad-hoc finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion.
