Job summary

Vulcan Steel, Australasia’s leading metals distributor and processor, is seeking an experienced Account Manager to cover the Western NSW region. You will sell aluminium and stainless steel products while building strong client relationships and delivering tailored solutions.

You will travel across Western NSW with some overnight stays, presenting data-driven sales proposals and collaborating with internal teams to maximise client value. A health and safety culture is in place.

• Experience in B2B sales or steel manufacturing.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
• Willingness to travel across Western NSW with overnight stays.

About the role

Due to growth in the business, we are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join the team. You will be selling aluminium and stainless steel products in the Western NSW region.

What you will be responsible for:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities
• Building strong relationships with an existing portfolio of clients
• Analysing industry data with up-to-date market trends
• Preparation and presentation of sales to clients and the sales department
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to obtain the best outcomes for our clients
• Having an in-depth understanding of Vulcan services to cross-sell
• Cold calling

Requirements

• Experience with B2B sales or a steel manufacturing background, wanting to get into sales
• Sound communication and negotiation skills
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets

You will also be expected to visit customers throughout Western NSW, which will involve some overnight stays.

Please note, as health & safety is important to us, you will be asked to complete a pre-employment drug screen if you are to be successful.
