Job summary

Vulcan in Australasia is seeking an office-based internal sales representative to be the first point of contact for customers, selling stainless and aluminium products. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver accurate quotes and great service.

Based in Darwin, this full-time role runs Monday to Friday 8:00am–4:30pm. Prior metal industry knowledge is an advantage; customer service and sales experience is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service and sales experience preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge/experience with the metal industry is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail in quoting and orders.
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound enquiries via phone and email promptly and professionally.
• Proactive outbound customer outreach.
• Process orders and prepare accurate quotes.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Assist with stock management and inventory control.
• Handle general administrative tasks.

About the role

In thisoffice-based internal sales role, you will be thefirst point of contact for customers, working closely with internal teams and external partners. You’ll be responsible forselling stainless and aluminium products.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Responding to inbound enquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner
• Proactive customer outreach through outbound calling
• Processing customer orders and preparing accurate quotes
• Proactively following up with customers to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback
• Collaborating with the sales team to support business development and identify opportunities
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Assisting with stock management and inventory control
• Handling general administrative tasks as needed

• On-site Monday to Friday 8.00am-4.30pm
• Knowledge/ experience with in the Metal industry an advantage
