Job summary

Inductive Automation Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an Account Executive in Brisbane, Fortitude Valley. You will blend technical solutions selling with proactive account management to drive growth and design tailored architectures for clients.

You will deliver engaging demonstrations, develop proposals, and travel locally or interstate to meet customers, both on-site and in-office, to showcase our platform to engineers and executives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in industrial automation software sales or related field.
• Experience in technical sales, product consulting, or industry domain.
• Proficient with modern CRM tools; HubSpot is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Continuously expand knowledge of products and sector verticals.
• Develop and deliver presentations and proofs-of-concept highlighting technical benefits.
• Represent the company as brand ambassador at major industry events and conferences.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities while growing existing customer base.
• Create accurate sales proposals, quotes and reports.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering to develop expertise across vertical markets.

As an Account Executive with Inductive Automation, you will blend technical solutions selling with proactive account management to drive growth. You will be at the heart of our mission, working closely with clients to design tailored technical architectures and delivering engaging demonstrations and presentations that showcase the power of and technical benefits of our industrial platform to different audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously expand your knowledge of our products and sector verticals.
• Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proof-of-concepts that highlight the technical benefits of our platform.
• Represent Inductive Automation as a key brand ambassador at major industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities while fostering long-term growth with our existing client base.
• Creating accurate sales proposals, quotes, and reports.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering to co-develop deep expertise across various industrial vertical markets.

About you

• At least 2 years of experience in industrial automation software sales (e.g., SCADA, MES, IIoT, or PLCs).
• Technical sales, product consulting, industry experience
• Proficiency with modern CRM software and sales tools, with Hubspot experience being a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, from engineers to executives.
• Willingness to travel to attend local and interstate customer meetings on-site or in office virtually as necessary
