Qualifications

• Experience budgeting, cost control, bookkeeping or accounts, and staff supervision.
• Knowledge of WHS and compliance in accommodation settings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accommodation or booking systems.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and direct the daily operations of the Toowoomba site, including accommodation, cleaning, maintenance and worker transport.
• Manage room allocation, occupancy, check-ins and check-outs for about 120 contracted workers.
• Liaise with our corporate client to meet contract requirements and plan for changes in worker numbers.
• Coordinate the daily transport service between the accommodation and the client’s workplace, including scheduling and vehicle upkeep.
• Provide pastoral care and welfare support for residents, including house rules and referrals to support services.
• Prepare and manage the site budget and control expenditure, procurement and supplier accounts.
• Recruit, train, roster and supervise cleaning, maintenance and transport staff.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, fire safety, building and local council requirements.

My Australian Career An established workforce accommodation business in Toowoomba, Queensland, is looking for an experienced Accommodation Manager to manage its worker accommodation site on a full-time basis. Position Overview: The successful candidate will plan, organise, direct and coordinate the accommodation, cleaning, maintenance and transport operations of the site.

They will manage staff, budgets, accounts and resident services, and ensure the site operates safely, profitably and in line with health, safety and regulatory requirements. The site provides accommodation for around 120 workers employed by a major meat processing company under a contract arrangement, including daily transport to and from their workplace and pastoral care during their stay. Oversee cleaning standards and the presentation and maintenance of buildings, rooms, vehicles and grounds. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, fire safety, building and local council requirements. Handle resident enquiries, complaints and incidents, and keep accurate records.

Qualification & experience A Diploma or higher in Hospitality Management, Business or a related field, or at least 3 years of relevant experience in place of formal qualifications. At least 2 years of experience managing accommodation operations, ideally workforce, group or residential accommodation. Demonstrated experience in budgeting, cost control, bookkeeping or accounts, and staff supervision.

Knowledge of WHS and compliance requirements in an accommodation setting. Experience working with culturally diverse residents and providing welfare or pastoral support. Strong communication, problem-solving and client relationship skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accommodation or booking systems. A current Australian driver’s licence.
