Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited in Queensland seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead a large team, ensure facilities meet contractual obligations, and drive safety standards across remote sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar supervisory role leading a large diverse team.
• Commercial experience (Hotel, Mining, or Resort environment preferable).
• Ability to lead a successful team and have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for performance.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of training and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team within housekeeping to ensure facilities are clean and compliant with contractual obligations.
• Train, lead and motivate the team; work alongside management to achieve results.
• This is a hands-on role; you will work with the team.
• Train new employees and conduct effective prestart meetings.
• Investigate hazards/incidents and report injuries and safety concerns; prepare performance reports.

Housekeeping Supervisor

• $85,218 + super
• The roster is 9 days on, 5 days off (10x hour shifts)
• Accommodation and meals provided
• The role is fly in fly out (FIFO) from Brisbane or drive in drive out (DIDO) from Mackay and local region

ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. Due to anticipated growth across our flagship portfolio in Central QLD, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join the team at Eureka Village.

The Position

• You will be responsible for leading a team within our housekeeping department to ensure facilities are clean and comply with our contractual obligations.
• You will be a driven individual that is able to train, lead and motivate your team, working alongside with management to achieve desired results.
• This is a physical, hands-on role, where you are expected to also work alongside the team
• Training of new employees
• Conduct effective prestart meetings, attend to performance issues, Demonstrate and reinforce safe work ethics, effectively investigate and report all hazards/incidents and injuries
• Prepare and submit performance reports and field leadership

The Person

• Experience in a similar supervisory role leading a large diverse team
• Commercial experience (Hotel, Mining, or Resort environment preferable)
• Ability to lead a successful team and have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility of the team’s overall performance
• Commitment and ability to drive a positive and sustainable safety culture
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create, implement and evaluate training and procedures
• Must be able to pass a Pre-employment medical and Drug and Alcohol Test
• Standard 11 Certificate (desirable)
