Job summary

The University of Western Australia (UWA) is seeking an Accessibility Adviser to provide individualised support to students with disability, using assistive technology to enhance accessible learning. This is a full-time, 2-year fixed-term role (1.0 FTE) in Western Australia.

You will collaborate with UniAccess, staff and students to implement practical, person-centred solutions that reduce barriers and promote inclusion in a tertiary setting.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification or equivalent competency in a relevant field.
• Experience working with people with a disability in higher education or similar settings.
• Knowledge of equity and diversity issues relating to students with disability in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of assistive technologies to support diverse learners.
• Collaborate with staff and students to implement accessible solutions in a university setting.
• Support policy and procedures related to UniAccess services.
