Job summary

Western Sydney University is seeking a specialist adviser to provide tailored, proactive support for students with disability, chronic health and mental health conditions. You will collaborate with students and staff to develop adjustment plans, advocate for accessible facilities and services, and use data to drive improvements.

You will build referral pathways, maintain records, and contribute to educational programs that strengthen accessibility across the university community.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Allied Health, Education, Social Work or a related field.
• Extensive experience supporting and advising a diverse range of clients with disability.
• Knowledge of disability discrimination, education standards, anti‑discrimination and privacy legislation.
• Strong advocacy, negotiation and communication skills, including presenting to varied audiences.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, build collaborative relationships and use Microsoft 365 and CRM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver responsive, high‑quality advice, advocacy and support to students with disability.
• Develop and review effective academic reasonable adjustment plans with students and staff.
• Use service data and student feedback to identify gaps and implement targeted improvements.
• Strengthen collaborative relationships and referral pathways with internal and external partners.
• Deliver educational initiatives that promote accessibility and inclusive practice across the University.
