Job summary

Western Sydney University in Bankstown is seeking a Senior Disability Support Advisor to provide tailored, proactive assistance to students with disability, chronic health conditions and mental health conditions. You will develop and monitor academic reasonable adjustment plans in collaboration with students and staff.

You will use service data and student feedback to identify gaps and drive targeted improvements while building strong referral pathways and promoting accessible learning

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Allied Health, Education, Social Work or a related field.
• Extensive experience supporting and advising a diverse range of clients with disability.
• Knowledge of relevant disability discrimination, education standards, anti-discrimination and privacy legislation.
• Strong advocacy, negotiation and communication skills, including experience presenting to varied audiences.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, build collaborative relationships and use Microsoft 365 and CRM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored, proactive and responsive support to students with disability.
• Collaborate with students and staff to develop, monitor and refine academic reasonable adjustment plans.
• Provide specialist advice, advocacy and guidance on accessible facilities, services and learning environments.
• Use service data and student feedback to identify gaps and recommend targeted improvements.
• Build effective referral pathways, maintain accurate records and co-develop educational programs that strengthen accessibility and inclusion across the University community.
