Job summary

Central Australian Aboriginal Congress Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a Social and Emotional Wellbeing Case Manager in Canberra to provide trauma-informed SEWB case management with a focus on mental health. You will coordinate advocacy, outreach and life skills training, facilitating access to Congress services and coordinating interagency meetings.

Clients often face complex needs, including health, family violence, AOD issues and involvement with child protection.

Qualifications

• Aboriginal descent required and identified by the Aboriginal community
• Experience providing case management to vulnerable clients
• Knowledge and practice of SEWB principles
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external providers
• Maintain strict confidentiality in health care settings with cultural sensitivity
• Awareness of Aboriginal culture/history and child/family health factors in Central Australia
• Current NT Driver's License or ability to obtain
• Willingness and ability to travel to remote locations

Responsibilities

• Provide SEWB case management with focus on mental health
• Coordinate advocacy, outreach, and life skills training for clients
